Iowans for Project Innovation support new project delivery legislation introduced in the 89th Assembly that would provide Iowa agencies the authority to use design-build for vertical infrastructure projects. This legislation gives Iowa agencies the ability to make the best choices possible to deliver cost and schedule efficient projects for taxpayers. This legislation is especially important as nearly $1 trillion in infrastructure investment funding will be coming to states over the coming years.
An expanded coalition of Iowans support this legislation and are urging lawmakers to finally provide state agencies with the ability to choose which delivery method is the best fit for their projects. Iowa is one of only two states in the nation without this project delivery authority.
